A Universal Christmas

1 Dec 2017 – 1 Jan 2018
Universal Studios Singapore has been revamped for the holidays. Every corner of its streets are jam-packed with the holiday cheer. On top of enjoying the regular Universal Studios attractions, also look out for these events:

  • Search for a Christmas Star
    Watch an after-dark performance that uses special effects, acrobats, characters, and many more.
    Showtimes: 7:30 pm & 8:45 pm
  • Oscar’s Grouchmas Show
    Join the grouchy Oscar as he belts aways songs with guest appearances of his friends from everyone’s favorite street.
    Showtimes: 1:30 pm, 4:00 pm, 6:30 pm & 8:00 pm
  • Santa’s Workshop
    Help Santa prepare for his biggest day of the year at the Mail Room, Mrs. Claus’s Kitchen and the Toy Factory.

  • Santa’s Snowy Sleigh Ride
    Watch Santa sleigh down the streets with a display snow and festivity.

A Christmas Wonderland

Gardens by the Bay hosts its yearly affair, A Christmas Wonderland. A display of lights, festivities and food awaits you at this Singapore Christmas festival. The space is decorated with 80 Luminarie light sculptures that’ll make you feel like you’re in a mystical wonderland. There is an enormous Spalliera fitted with pretty lights. It hosts Blizzard Time, where you can witness a ‘snowfall’ and watch as the flakes float and complete a picturesque scene.

You can also watch the Garden Rhapsody, a light show performed by the Supertrees at Gardens by the Bay. The lights of the tree flicker and dance to music.

A Christmas Wonderland is also perfect for the little ones. There is Skating Under The Stars, where your kids can skate around on the the ice rink surrounded by light sculptures. Admission costs $8 per child, and $10 per adult. Not only that, the Wonderland is filled with festive workshops, 8 carnival rides and games.

Head over with the children to Santa’s Grotto, where Santa Claus himself will be giving away presents! Over a 100 presents will be given away daily, some of which include free rides and tickets to attractions in the Wonderland. Father Christmas will also be giving out the grand prize –  a trip for 2 to Lapland, Finland! There is also an opportunity for you to take photos with Santa Claus.

Finally for the first time in Asia the Circus Abyssinia presents Ethiopian Dreams, an acrobatic circus spectacle. The performance is held at The Meadow, on Tuesdays to  Sundays, and on Christmas Day. Tickets go for $12 (adult) and $8 (child). Get tickets to the Ethiopian Dreams.

Endless Wonder - Christmas on a Great Street

Every year during the Christmas season Orchard Road is decked out with a dazzling display of lights, decorations and Christmas festivities. The Christmas Spirit stretches 2.88 km across Orchard Road, and there’s more to do than just shop (Speaking of shop, the street is full of creative pop-up stores from brands like Tiffany & Co and SK-II, so be sure to check them out).

The Walk of Wonder

At Forum the Shopping Mall, there is The Walk of Wonder. It’s a tunnel spanning about 20 metres lined with fairy lights and reflective walls, making it the perfect photo opportunity.

Christmas Trees
There are 3 unique Christmas trees to marvel at. The Tree of Time at Ngee Ann City, which is inspired after a dancer. The Enchanted Tree at Wisma Atria, an illuminated canopy-shaped tree and the Pandora Rose Tree at ION Orchard, a 20 metre tree so huge you can actually set foot inside.

Christmas Village – Sat 25 Nov 2017 – Mon 25 Dec 2017
For the first time ever at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza, you can experience a Christmas Village. Modelled after European Christmas villages, the Village will include amusement rides, a Santa’s house, pop-up stores and food. A Christmas countdown concert will be held here on the eve of Christmas starting at 8pm.
