Overview
There are two plazas in the District 12 vicinity, Balestier and Shaw Plaza, which cater to most general needs. The first plaza hosts a branch library and cinema whereas the other subsequently contains a post office. Private vehicle owners travelling to the business hub can expect to reach within 20 minutes via the Pan Island Expressway (PIE), while those heading to the Orchard Road shopping district can easily be there within 10 minutes via the Central Expressway (CTE).
